January Jones’ graphic French/twist back braid is so imperfect, that it’s perfect. The look leaves plenty of room for interpretation and can easily be translated into an everyday style with an element of surprise.

HOW-TO: January Jones at 'Mad Men' Season 7 Premiere

RECREATE THE LOOK

STEP ONE: Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair using Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner.

STEP 2: Apply one pump of Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier to damp hair before styling.

STEP 3: Back comb hair while blow drying and spray a light amount of Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray to get rid of unwanted flyaways.

STEP 4: Once dry, distribute a few pumps of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to help tame the hair and make it easier to braid.

STEP 5: Let the hair part naturally and take a large section of hair from the right side and create an outside French braid cascading from the top of the head to the lower neck.

STEP 6: Next take a large section from the left side and create a rope braid along the side of the head.

STEP 7: Connect the two larger braids with a clear elastic band at the back of the head.

STEP 8: Take the hair beneath (that was not incorporated in the other two braids) and braid tightly from top to bottom then secure with an elastic band.

STEP 9: Finally, take the three separate braids and create one final braid that feels a bit undone and messy.

STEP 10: Finish the look by giving the shorter pieces in the front a slight bend with a flat iron and spray the whole head with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.

COLOR PRO TIP: “When going for a January Jones blonde color, make sure you ask for a golden base color. I chose Wella Professionals ILLUMINA Color because it gives a beautiful shine beneath the highlights. It’s really important to add light buttery blonde highlights so there is brightness and movement. In the summer, January loves to go lighter and ILLUMINA makes it easy because it maintains the health of your hair."- Jennifer J, Wella Professionals Celebrity Color Ambassador
