5 Steps to Jessica Simpson's Wedding Day Hair Style

On July 5, 2014, Jessica Simpson exchanged wedding vows with Eric Johnson wearing Carolina Herrera and a beautiful makeup finish by makeup artist Karan Mitchell.

But, if you ask us, forget the dress, it was her her elegant, no-fuss hair style that was the real star of the show. Created by her hairstylist Roque Jimenez, the look was designed to not be too "contrived" and, instead "sexy, easy and ethereal," according to an interview with people.com. Well done, Roque!

It's simple, chic, elegant but full of volume and not too fussy.

Graziella Lembo, a Senior Stylist at SalonCapri Boston, recreated this timeless look in just 5 simple steps.

Step 1: Take 1-inch sections of hair and curl with a 1 ½ inch barrel curling iron. Spray curls with Kérastase Laque Noire hairspray for strong hold.

Step 2: Gather two 2-inch sections of hair at the crown, one in the front and one in the very center of the head

Step 3: Tease the center section lightly with a comb until you achieve your desired fullness. Smooth the front section gently over the teased area.

Step 4: Twist the ends of the two sections together and secure with bobby pins in back of head.

Step 5: Gently brush through curls to loosen them up. Finish the look by spraying a light coat of L’Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer Shine Illuminating Mist lightly for shine and a light, non-sticky hold.
