Ciara Gets Texturized

Just a few months ago, we were ooh'ing and ah'ing over Ciara's fresh new crop and bright blonde ombre treatment. The pop star is clearly adventurous with her fashion choices, so why should we be surprised at this drastic hair change?

Ciara debuted her long, curly locks on Instagram last month, and it looks like they're here to stay for a bit.

The September issue of O magazine is all about hair! And to carry the theme through, Oprah is on the cover sporting a massive, 3.5-pound afro wig. Celeb stylist and L.A. Hair star Kim Kimble created the wig for the TV talk show maven from "seven bags of hair," the finished product delivered to the photo shoot in bubble wrap and a custom-made, pink travel box.

Fun fact: Oprah called the wig "Wild Thang!"

Coco Rocha Gets Chopped

"The first cut is the deepest," Coco tweeted as her husband ceremoniously made the first cut into her long locks. The model and co-host of The Face said she decided to hop on the pixie bandwagon after her hair simply stopped growing from overprocessing for photo shoots: "With my job, my hair is constantly dyed and fried, and it won't grow any longer, so I decided it was time to get rid of it," she told Allure (who live-tweeted the entire thing!). The inspiration for the cut, created by Beverly Hills sylist Anh Co Tran? Tilda Swinton's somewhat longer version of the now-extremely-trendy pixie. http://www.allure.com/beauty-trends/blogs/daily-beauty-reporter/2013/08/coco-rocha-cuts-her-hair-short.html

How To: Speaking of Tilda, here's a step-by-step guide for recreating her wild style.

Just when you thought you'd seen every variation on the halo braid, along comes this impossibly symmetrical, effortless(-looking) one, worn by model Hannah Davis. The details in the fishtail braid -- a nice decision that sets this style apart from the usual "Heidi" halo braid -- both offset and complement the loose, flowing waves and create some awesome volume at the crown.

How To: If you've been meaning to get around to experimenting with a typical halo braid, here's a great guide from Andy LeCompte.
