Taylor Swift

A look some have dubbed “Heidi hair,” Taylor paired her cream white, grecian goddess-esque gown with a loose headband braid and soft, face-framing pieces in front. The style didn’t stick around long, though, as Taylor literally let her hair down to open the show with a performance and one heck of a circus crew on backup.

Salon tip: Is your bridal client eyeing Taylor’s style for her big day? Here’s a how-to for a similar stylefor clients looking for an elegant bridal braid headband style.

Bonus: How about that fantastical circus hair, huh? Huntsville stylist Ann Bray created the styles for Taylor’s performance and documented her backstage prep on her Facebook page.

Kelly Rowland

After wowing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage with Beyonce and Michelle Williams, the Destiny’s Child singer has hit the ground running with impeccable looks and eye-popping gowns. This look is no exception--can you keep your eyes off of Kelly’s peekaboo, sheer gown? Take a minute to notice her graduated fringe and polished ‘do, worn at the nape of the neck with soft, straight pieces falling in front.

Salon tip: Wondering if Kelly--like everyone else--was inspired to go full fringe after Michelle Obama revealed her show-stopping new bangs? Well, no. Kelly’s been rocking fringe on and off for years, buthere’s how to achieve Michelle Obama’s new style.

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae’s heavy fringe may have been one of the most influential hair trends of 2012, and it looks like it’s carrying over into 2013, possibly even inspiring other celebs to take the plunge. Usually one to opt for a more sleek and chic style--it’s rare to see her wearing any sort of texture or wave on the red carpet--Carly Rae kept it simple at the Grammys, letting her blunt bang take center stage.

Salon tip: Have a client who might have been inspired by Carly Rae’s naturally rich, dark color and is need of a color correction to go back to blonde? Check out this how-to

Jessica Biel

Husband Justin Timberlake was one of the talking points of the evening, but Jessica’s super sleek, super chic style held its own next to aisle mates like Rihanna and Beyonce. Her fresh, sun-kissed color stood out the most, though--Jessica has been gradually lightening her once dark ombre color since her wedding in October.

Salon tip: Yes, love it or hate it, ombre is still very much in and highly requested by clients. If Jessica’s flirtation with ombre styles was a big inspiration for your client seeking a similar look, check out this sun-kissed ombre and get the how-to.
