This season, disheveled hair takes a back seat when it comes to men’s styling—and “grooming” takes on a whole new meaning as we’re seeing more sleek, polished looks with defined “hard parts” and clean necklines.

In this collection featured exclusively in MODERN, Steve Elias, guest artist for Number 4 High Performance Haircare, wanted to create cuts and styles that reflected his personal philosophy on men’s hair care. “This collection is all about showcasing stylish, easy and relatively effortless hair that can suit the growing tastes and moods of the modern guy,” says Elias, 2010 North American Hairstyling Awards’ Editorial Stylist of the Year. “Whether smooth, textured, curly, straight, fine or thick, with the combination of Number 4 Haircare, Hattori Hanzo shears and Ergo styling tools, we created something truly special.”
