As the seasons change, so should your clients beauty routine. Make-up expert Trish McEvoy shares three tips to share with clients to update their look.

*EVEN SKIN. As your client’s skin transitions to a lighter tone for fall/winter, evening out their complexion becomes even more important. Use a foundation or skin-perfector with treatment benefits to help skin recover from summer wear and tear, and with hydrating properties in preparation for the drier weather.

*FACE COLOR. Blush is to fall as bronzer is to summer. As the day's get cooler clients should go lighter on the bronzer and brighten their look with cheek color formulas that make them look lit from within. Apply a pop of pink to the high apples of cheeks and blend slightly to achieve the perfect fall face color.

*DEFINITION. Nothing instantly transforms a look like definition on the eyes, face and brows. Intensify eye liner, define the cheekbones and shape the brows. For lips this season the look is muted with definition achieved through highlighting, a trick that makes lips look naturally fuller. Pat down lip color with your finger for a sexy, blurred, just-kissed finish.
