COLLECTION: Simply Beauty

Carl and Belinda Keeley of Australia’s Chumba Concept Salon conceived their Barely There collection as a minimalist expression of hair beauty. "My goal was to present a clean, simple and elegant collection expressing understated beauty," says Carl. Belinda, the colorist for this collection said the colors were designed to appear minimal in line with the collection's intent.

HIDDEN UPSTYLE

“We call this our ‘Nifty Upstyle’ created with wave texture set, then pulled back invisibly to create the upstyle. The color is an all-over melting golden cream blonde.”

MODERN UNDERCUT

"Creative color application was used to highlight feature sections of hair. But at the same time the holistic look is one of lush texture and substance."

BALL UPSTYLE:

“This is when long hair becomes short with a simple tuck away, creating volume and elegance. This style was complemented by freehand and balayage with color highlighting the face.”

LONG AND TEXTURED

“This look was created using Kevin.Murphy Resort Hairspray to enhance natural wave and texture. The hair was then loosely wrapped around a large tong to create volume. Freehand balayage was used to highlight the texture with highlights from gold into amber.”
