Matthew Parkes, a stylist at Robert Allen Salon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida took a basic short buzzed men's hair cut and transformed it into a modern Mohawk by adding Great Lengths Extensions and a new up-to-date color. (This look won in the Avant Garde category in the first Great Lengths Challenge competition!)

GET THE LOOK:

Color Technique:

1. Apply Goldwell's Silk Lift + 9% (30-volume) Cream Developer in asymmetrical shapes and sizes to the sides of the head.

2. Next, apply Goldwell's Topchic 35 mL 4MG + 5 mL 2A with 40 mL 6% (20-volume) Lotion to all remaining hair and process for 30 minutes. Shampoo and dry hair.

3. For the wefts, use Great Lengths extensions #9 and #10, glaze with equal parts Elumen kk@all and rr@all.

Extension Application: To match the hair to the Great Lengths color pallet, apply 1 bundle (25 pieces) of 1B. Cut each piece in half and apply to the hairline. Gradually decrease the number of pieces applied while heading toward the crown in a triangular pattern.
