NovaLash Names Lash Artist of the Year

As a pioneer in lash extensions, education and distribution, NovaLash launched its first annual Lash Off Contest and named Christina Lynn Perez of Cheeky Strut Salon in Grand Rapids, MI as Lash Artist of the Year.

“Winning this title means a start to a very successful career. Though I was doing well before, I just recently moved to a new city and a new salon, so this couldn’t have happened at a better time,” says Perez, “I’m hoping to show off my skills, love for lash extensions, and knowledge of the trade and gain some recognition along with a lot of new and awesome clients.”

When NovaLash announced the contest, professionals filmed themselves lashin’ out and sent the video results to NovaLash. Hoping to be named Lash Artist of the Year, the artists behind the videos “represent what we have always hoped to achieve as a company: to provide a new, dynamic, profitable and fulfilling career option for those in the beauty industry. Each lash artist showed such passion for their career in lashes,” says NovaLash CEO, Sophy Merszei.
In addition to Perez,  four other candidates received honors in these categories:

·      Most Natural Look: Amy Young from Love Those Lashes in Trenton, OH

·      Most Creative Look: Sonya Konetchy from Body Spa LLC in Everett, WA

·      Most Dramatic Look: Deborah Cannon from Ulta Salon in College Station, TX

·      Fan’s Choice Look: Leah Lynch from Interlocks Salon & Day Spa in Newburyport, MA

To honor America’s lash-tastic talent, NovaLash plans to host a celebratory event in Houston, Texas in the fall where Perez will be awarded over $10,000 in cash and prizes.
