Celebrity Style: Melissa Leo's Effortless Texture

By Lauren Salapatek | 04/21/2011 2:41:19 PM

Achieve Melissa Leo’s naturally curly look and hair color with these tips from Ernest Brooks of Hairapy PDX Salon in Portland, Oregon.

Try it: “I would start off her re-growth with a natural Organic Color Systems 5N Light Brown and add to that equal parts of 6GD Dark Golden Blonde. Then I would add an equal part of 6% (20 volume) developer to make sure any gray is covered, yet not lifted. This will give her re-growth area a soft, shimmering glow,” says Brooks.

“Because her color is already dimensional, for her lengths and ends use 6GD with 6% developer, or foil in a base color and 6GD to get even more dimension. To finish the naturally curly look, cocktail Organic Control Systems Gloss Serum with Organic Control Systems Glaze to help de-frizz and add shine. For added support, apply Organic Control Systems Spray Gel.”
