Steven Robertson of Salt Lake City-based Lunatic Fringe Salon will be joining Sebastian Professionalâs styling team backstage as a guest stylist at New York Spring â11 Fashion Week and will be featured in BlackBook magazine.
|From a group of consumer-selected finalists, a panel of experts and Sebastian celebrity stylists Thomas Dunkin and Janine Jarman awarded Robertsonâs high hair height, doll-themed look as the winning look that pushed the concept of volume to the edge. Poignantly passionate, Robertson says, âI strive to have the end product have the feeling of âthat's beautifulâ as opposed to âthat's cool,â whether itâs avant garde work or classic. I believe a beautiful photo will hold more timeless and be appreciated, and really be looked at for a longer period of time than a âcoolâ photo would.â
Inspired by Robertsonâs style and story and think youâve got what it takes to become âwhatâs next?â Sebastian Professional is launching the third round of its Whatâs Next Awards in August 2010 celebrating the 25th anniversary of its iconic Shaper hairspray. Stylists across the country are invited to submit their shape-shifting, sculpted silhouettes for a shot at fame. Consumers can win too by voting for their favorite fearless style at www.whatsnextawards.com for a chance to win a trip to NYC to attend a Fashion Week event and a $500 shopping spree.
