Grand Prize Winner of Sebastian's What's Next Awards Announced!

Steven Robertson of Salt Lake City-based Lunatic Fringe Salon will be joining Sebastian Professional’s styling team backstage as a guest stylist at New York Spring ‘11 Fashion Week and will be featured in BlackBook magazine.

From a group of consumer-selected finalists, a panel of experts and Sebastian celebrity stylists Thomas Dunkin and Janine Jarman awarded Robertson’s high hair height, doll-themed look as the winning look that pushed the concept of volume to the edge. Poignantly passionate, Robertson says, “I strive to have the end product have the feeling of ‘that's beautiful’ as opposed to ‘that's cool,’ whether it’s avant garde work or classic. I believe a beautiful photo will hold more timeless and be appreciated, and really be looked at for a longer period of time than a ‘cool’ photo would.”

Inspired by Robertson’s style and story and think you’ve got what it takes to become “what’s next?” Sebastian Professional is launching the third round of its What’s Next Awards in August 2010 celebrating the 25th anniversary of its iconic Shaper hairspray. Stylists across the country are invited to submit their shape-shifting, sculpted silhouettes for a shot at fame. Consumers can win too by voting for their favorite fearless style at www.whatsnextawards.com for a chance to win a trip to NYC to attend a Fashion Week event and a $500 shopping spree.
