Blast From the Past
Master Stylist at Arrojo Studio NYC Amanda Jenkins' Men's Collection for 2011,
"Prohibition" mimics the feeling of the slick, semi-shiny tailored looks from the 1920s
and 1930s combined with rockabilly. Find the details below on the five looks all styled
with Arrojo products.
From left to right: Johnny, Kevin, Alexey, Jay, Benny.
- Johnny: Jenkins created a pompadour, taking a triangle section from the top and back combining it with Gel and Texture Paste.
- Kevin: Clipper cut the sides and back, then disconnect the top for a comb-over look using Gel.
- Alexey: This razored shape is disconnected on top and on the right side. Style with Gel and Texture Paste, then comb to create the side part.
- Jay: This disconnected razor cut is short on the sides and back with disconnected length on top. This look was created with Volume Foam mixed with Texture Paste.
- Benny: Jenkins gave him a long, razored cut, not creating too much shape to keep it masculine. She then slicked the hair into a ponytail with a side part.
