It's the age old client question, "How do I get my hair to grow faster?" Besides recommending hair thickening products or hair supplements, according to Vanity Vixen, Erica Sanchez, owner of Vanity Salon in Boca Raton, Florida, there's other ways you should be sharing with your clients.

Are your clients getting a "Trim" or "Dusting" every 6-8 weeks? Tell your clients that if they want their hair to be long and healthy, not just long, they need to have their ends dusted every 6-8 weeks. Tell them it will take care of their split ends and hair breakage, which will allow their hair to grow faster.

Stay away from silicone-based products. Advise them that silicone-based products might leave the illusion of healthier, shinier hair, but they start to build up on the hair shaft, creating a seal that blocks moisture from penetrating the hair, clogging up your hair follicles and making your hair brittle and weak, which will prevent it from growing.

Weekly Conditioning Treatments: If your clients want healthy hair, they have to have a healthy scalp to maintain their healthy hair. Offer them a hair mask they can use as a deep conditioning treatment to put on their hair every week. Also, recommend an intensive deep conditioning treatment at the salon every time they come in for a dusting.

Hair Protection: Make sure your clients are equipped with the right products to protect their hair from the suns rays, especially when summer arrives, it's essential for growth and keeping hair color vibrant.

Drink Plenty of Water: Ask your client if they are drinking plenty of water. Hydrated hair is strong hair. Drinking about 8 glasses of water a day is a quick, easy and natural method to making hair grow faster.
