This is World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2014, and Healthy Hairdresser would love to hear your breastfeeding stories in and out of the salon!
The WBW theme this year is “Breastfeeding: A Winning Goal—For Life!” Breastfeeding proponents believe that supporting breastfeeding globally aligns with UN goals of fighting poverty and promoting healthy and sustainable development throughout the world. The WBW website states: “Exclusive breastfeeding and adequate complementary feeding are key interventions for improving child survival, potentially saving about 20% of children under five. We call on all celebrants of WBW to Protect, Promote and Support Breastfeeding: it is a vital Life-Saving Goal!”
