"Boston Strong" Survivor Celeste Corcoran Performs First Haircut

click image to zoomToday / NBC News Congratulations to “Boston Strong” stylist and survivor Celeste Corcoran for performing her first female hair cut since the Boston Marathon bombing six months ago. Celeste and her daughter Sydney were featured on the TODAY SHOW this morning, and as part of the profile on their amazing progress, reporter Natalie Morales sat as her first official “client.”

click image to zoomToday / NBC News Corcoran, who lost both of her legs, is doing well with her prosthetics—even driving and working on getting a new license—and she is anxious to get back to the salon and do the work she loves. But standing all day is something she is still working toward.

She did tell Morales that she and Sydney intend to be at the 2014 Boston Marathon finish line next year, maybe even crossing arm-in-arm with her sister, who will run it.
