Hundreds of balloons for the birthday celebration.

THE EVENT: Sebastian’s Shaper hairspray turns 25 years old.

THE DETAILS: More than 750 salon professionals and salon industry guests came to the back lot of Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California, to celebrate the 25th birthday of Sebastian’s Shaper hairspray. Twenty-five Sebastian professionals transformed more than 40 models on stage, featuring Shaper and the entire Shaper family of products.

WHO’S WHO: The lot was crawling with industry legends and icons, including Sonya and Christopher Dove, Marcy Cona, Janine Jarman, Kaz Amor and more.

Pamela Love, the recently named Sebastian Shaper Visionary who is best known for her iconic jewelry designs, was there to meet and greet and accept accolades for her design on the new, limited-edition Shaper hairspray can.

THE ENTERTAINMENT: Opera singer Prince Poppycock performed, kicking off the hair and fashion show. The evening wrapped up with a concert by The Sounds, the new-wave group from Sweden.

“Does this surprise you?” John Moroney, VP of Salon Business Development asked as he scanned the crowd. “Whatever we do with the Shaper name on it is fearless! Twenty-five years ago Shaper was born and we are bringing together all of our best salons and partners from around the world to celebrate.”

Reuben Carranza, CEO, P&G Salon Professional North America added: “We decided to have it here in California where it all started. This is a global party for one of the most important global products.”
