Why did you choose beauty? As a third generation stylist, it was in my blood. I learned from my mother and grandmother.

Milestones: Attending, graduating, and following through to get my license, because so many beauty college students do not; becoming a celebrity stylist; creating the Kimble brand—salon, products, hair extensions/pieces)

Big break: The BAPS movie, and being hand-selected by Beyonce’s mom to be the key stylist for Beyonce.

Career advice you’ve received: 20 percent of success is your skill; 80 percent is your attitude.

Career advice you’ve given: Hone your skills, and always be open to learn.

Your mentors? Madam CJ Walker, Vidal Sassoon, Mr. Dudley, of Dudley Products

You mentor: Stylists all around the world.

Are there challenges for women in beauty? Of course, as there are in any industry.

Sacrifice and lesson: Having a social/family life because I was focused on working and building my brand. I learned how to create balance--cultivating an amazing relationship with my son and a strong wealth-building empire for him and generations to come.

Risk and reward: When I began freelancing TV and film, I lost a lot clients, but did not let the fear of the unknown overtake me.

To follow in your footsteps, a woman would have to: Work hard, prepare, do research, pray and be humble, positive and patient

Famous woman you would like to style: Michelle Obama

Next change to my personal style: Adding more color to my all-black wardrobe and more innovative hair styles

Reading: The Message by Eugene H. Patterson and the Bible

Playlist: Lil Wayne’s “How to Love” and Michael Jackson’s “A Stranger in Moscow”

Important client experience: Beyonce—enough said!

Every day, just for you: Make myself a delicious smoothie for breakfast

Working on: Expanding locations and services, adding more education elements to the salon and developing new salon concepts. Stay tuned!

I appreciate God fo opening the doors for you to have this reality show. Kim I really needed to see that there are different faces and styles of real success in this industry. You are so relatable and inspiring and it is awesome you have grown to this level of sucess and remained humble. I pray you continue to have a forgiving heart with people who cross, while having the courage to stand up for yourself. I also pray you continue counseling for the relationship you have with your mom. God will continue to bless you against all odds. I too had to forgive my mom for abandoning me and each day it is a process of really letting go. Stay strong you are blessed and definitely and inspiration.
