Check out this look featured at the Autumn/Winter 2012 Ann Yee show. To coincide with this collection, Lead Hair stylist Marcos Diaz of ION Studio created this tribal, pre-historic/Jurassic look that was still tangible and modern. What do you think of this look? Tell us on MODERN's Facebook page where we were covering Fashion Week LIVE from the event in New York!

  1. Prime the hair with Davines For Wizards No. 13 Mat Forming Ground. This makes it easy to grip the hair when creating the braid, the next step. It also gives the hair a mat look.
  2. Create an inside-out braid (the reverse of a French braid) to the front of the hair line. Then pin the braid to the top of the head.
  3. Using hair pins, rick rack the front hair that has not been braided, and flat iron the pieces. Then allow the pieces to set. This will give the hair an accordion/zig-zag look.
  4. Remove the pins and tease the hair with a comb. Finish by spraying with Davines Defining Invisible Hairspray.
