How-to: Gold and Black Marble-y Nail

By Lauren Salapatek | 04/12/2012 4:00:00 PM

Hey everyone! I have another nail how-to for you! It's the black and gold marble-y nail by Creative Nail Design. All you need is CND's Blackjack, Gold Chrome, Copper Chrome and Speedey Top Coat to achieve this look. It takes a steady hand to create these leopard-like spots! Tell us what you think on MODERN's Facebook today!

Step 1: Polish a base layer of Gold Chrome

Step 2: Using Blackjack, randomly draw black leopard-like spots on the nail.

Step 3: Fill in the black spots with Gold Chrome, leaving a thin outer rim of black.

Step 4: Fill in the gold spots with Copper Chrome, leaving a thin outer rim of gold and black.

Step 5: Fill in the copper spots with another layer of Blackjack, leaving a thin outer rim of copper, gold and black. Allow polish to completely dry and finish with Speedey Top Coat.

i have done nails for over 25 yrs. i have had my nail art work published in NAILS magazine 2x... this tutorial is misleading because the nails are
not consecutively created.. meaning the spots are different/changes on each nail as it progresses... it's obvious.. it's pretty but needs to be more
realisticly done.
