There is passion in this look. It is feminine, strong, edgy and young.

I wanted to keep the vibe of the Blaze trend but apply the design to a lighter base for an additional salon translation. It still has contrast and confidence. For this look, I am going for dark gray roots, pale pink middle and platinum ends.

Each year, at International Trend Vision, Wella debuts four trends to be interpreted by hairdressers worldwide. This year, “Blaze,” the Latin-infused femme fatale, was the most dramatic of the four looks. In this MODERN exclusive, Wella artists Sonya and Christopher Dove, along with Paul Nasrallah, recreated the Blaze trend on two models—showing both the haute coiffure and salon-friendly interpretations, in long and short versions. “The ready-to-wear look has softer lines and a fluid texture,” says Christopher Dove. “The couture finish has more structure and shape, is more dressed and laminated.” Sonya Dove developed the color designs for both models, while Nasrallah created the short-haired model and Christopher Dove the long-hair model for their Blaze interpretations.
