Hughes, who left her native Britain to settle in Australia, is one of the country’s most recognized and honored stylists and educators, having received a vast collection of Australian Hair Expo awards.
Her salon, Mieka Hairdressing, was named Australian Salon of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
For her latest collection, titled Chuchoter (meaning “to whisper” in French), Hughes teamed with Mieka’s award-winning colorist Olivia Zynevych. The collection whispers, but the effect is loud and clear.
