For his recent trend release, David Barron of Barron’s London Salon in Atlanta, was inspired by Cubism, the avant-garde art movement pioneered by Pablo Picasso. Cubism relies heavily on geometric shapes and layers of bright bold color—artistic elements that are both represented in Barron’s fun and fantastic hats of hair.

The hair was a special design by Barron for which he created a teardrop-shaped backing for the styles and utilized hair pieces that were created in China and shipped to his salon where he colored the hair pieces in bright shades of pink, purple and orange. Each hairpiece was flat ironed, smoothed and sprayed for extra shine before being attached to the “hats” of fabric-covered Styrofoam. Strategic and pain-staking placement of the wefts created unique flows of shape and color.
