Short Stories: The Chic, Sophisticated Crop

By Alison Alhamed | 05/05/2014 11:57:00 AM

With the collision of higher temps and Hollywood trends, this summer will be all about the chic, sophisticated crop.

In the Fabric collection by Gary Hooker and Michael Young, AKA Hooker and Young of north east England, the inspiration came from the use of textile color in fashion. The collection proves shorter silhouettes can be as trendversatile as fashion. Through the use of color pairings, styling and texture.

“In fashion, high-intensity colors create an instant attraction,” the team says, “while low intensities can appear laidback and soft. We wanted to create a color collection that interpreted these emotions.”
