Flirty and fresh are what comes to mind when we see colorist Kathryn Hornick's blonde color on client Kelley, a natural level 7 with severely outgrown foils.
Hornick is a technical specialist for Wella Professionals and part of Wella's Team ICAN. She works at Root Salon in Minneapolis.
Using three different Wella Blondor formulas, Hornick transformed Kelley's virgin hair in a double-process application beginning with midlengths, followed by ends and lastly, her scalp.
GET THE COLOR:
STEP 1: Apply Wella Blondor Multi Blonde Powder + 30vol to midlengths; an inch from the scalp to the previous foils.
STEP 2: Follow with Wella Blondor Multi Blonde Powder + 20vol to ends on top of previous foils
STEP 3: Apply Wella Blondor Soft Blonde Cream + 20vol to the scalp. Process to a pale yellow.
STEP 4: Shampoo and rinse thoroughly and towel-dry.
STEP 5: Apply 25g 10/6, 5g 10/0, 60g 1.9% emulsion to midlengths and ends.
STEP 6: Use 20g 10/6, 10g 10/0, 60g 1.9% emulsion to new growth. Process 5-8 minutes.
STEP 7: Finish by rinsing thoroughly, towel drying and condition with Wella's Post-Color Treatment.
