click image to zoom MODERN SALON fan Nicholas Moore-Perez created this dimensional red/orange color using Goldwell products. Curious as to how he achieved this look?

Existing Shade: 5RB

Formula 1: 1 spoon of Silklift High Performance Lightener + 35 ml Silklift Conditioning Cream Developer 6%

Formula 2: 50mls 7OO max + 10mls 7RO max + 60mls Topchic Lotion 6%

Formula 3: 20mls 4V + 5mls 2A +  25mls Topchic Lotion 6%

Formula 4: 15mls 9G + 5mls 9KG + 40mls Colorance Lotion

Adjust amounts as required.

TRY IT:

Step 1: Pre-lighten the existing shade to a yellow/orange. Rinse and dry.

Step 2: Begin on the left side, take a small triangle from a middle parting back to the high parietal ending above the ear. Continue the triangle down towards the hairline in front of the ear. Apply Formula 3 using a block color foiling technique.

Step 3: Take a curved rectangle beginning from the middle of the triangle on the right side ending at the high parietal above the ear. Adjust the curve and amount of hair on how much impact is wanted out of this section. Using back to back slices while tapping in Formula 2 at the base and applying Formula 1 through the mid-lengths and ends.

Step 4: Take a diamond shaped section on the high crown. Keep the section big enough to have spill over each side. Apply Formula 3 using a block color foiling technique.

Step 5: Apply Formula 2 on remaining hair. Process for 35 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.

Step 6: Apply Formula 4 on pre-lightened rectangle and process for 15-25 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and style.
