Name: Selines
Hometown: Connecticut
Cosmetology School: International Academy
I'd like to specialize in: I love to cut, color, and style. I am not too crazy about perms. But, I pretty much enjoy it all. It is such a blessing when you can bring a smile on someone's face. Like I always say " if you're happy, i'm happy". I thank God that thus far I haven't had any complaints. I guess it is so important to have good customer services skills and learn to be a reflective listener.
Role Models: I must say my teachers at my Cosmetology school. They are all awesome teachers. I especially love Ms. Tina and Ms. Nella. Thank you so much for all your support. I must also say that my other role models are Paul Mitchell and the crew for creativeness, Vidal Sassoon for haircutting precision, Martin Parsons for updos, and Beth Minardi for color, Robert Cromeans for success and passion. I love you all and thank you for your support.
My Motto: My motto to all my clients is "Beauty time, is worth the time for a beautiful you". My motto to all Hairdesigners " Never lose your passion, because it births in you motivation, creativeness, and endurance. And thus rewards your work of art with excellence".
Why I love the industry: I love the freedom it gives you to be yourself and express a world of your own. I love everything that signifies beauty. Since a child I have always been so facsinated with the beauty industry. I love it, love it, love it- It's exciting, it's creative, it's passionate, and rewarding.
Why I love the industry: I must say I am inspired by the fact that I have a great desire to be a blessing to others. Especially, women that are so broken and lost their sense of worth and self esteem. I want to be able to use my expertise to give back to others.
The best moment of my career (so far): Every time a customer leaves my chair smiling.
My five-year plan: Explore all my possiblities. Maybe open a salon or travel the world educating.
