Victor Paul, owner of his namesake salon, Victor Paul Salon of Costa Mesa, California, boasts many celebrity clients, among them Gretchen Christine Rossi of Bravo television’s Real Housewives of Orange County.  When Gretchen wants a new twist on her classic California blonde tresses, she turns to Victor Paul. Victor says, “We offer change-up looks that show the true versatility of a cut and the incredible options offered with color; Quick changes for a day-into-night look or a major u-turn for absolute diversity.”

HEAVY SIDE SWEEP FRINGE:

Try it: Victor created Gretchen’s signature long, sexy layers with a heavy side-sweep fringe. Her golden, super-bright blonde is enhanced by Victor with slices of copper blonde lowlights. He prepped her hair with HBL Volumizing Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner and added Spray Mousse for lift at the roots and Thermal Styling Spray for protection. Victor used a small amount of HBL Straight & Style, which he worked through the hair before blow drying and finger styling. A large round brush used midway through the blow dry helped smooth the hair. Victor finished the style with a light backcomb for volume at the crown—the flirty style fans of the show will recognize.

ROCK STAR BANGS

Try it: For a complete change, Victor gives Gretchen a 1960s rock star look with the addition of custom blended clip-in bangs. This full fringe and some piece-y styling are simple steps to totally revamp Gretchen’s look. Victor added pliable style with HBL Spray Wax and finger styling for a look that can be worn loose or tucked behind the ears. “This look is fun and easy to do,” says Victor.
“Once personalized for the client’s cut and color, the hair blends into the existing style. Simply take a V-section far back from the hairline and integrate with the client’s own hair over the top. A clip-in fringe lets Gretchen try bangs without the commitment.”

FUN ACCESSORY:

Try it: Going glam for evening couldn’t be easier with a quick comb to the side and the addition of a jeweled headband. “A fun accessory can liven up any style and offer a quick change to go from day time to going out,” says Victor.
