Hold out a large section, approximately three
inches and mist with working spray.
Subdivide the section into one-inch sections and
wrap from root using 3/4-inch curling iron. Twirl to
end of barrel and hold to the tip for 10 seconds.
Do not clamp.
Work around the head. Once completely set, spray
the head with a reconditioning spray.
Separate the curls with hands to add various
textures throughout.
To make into an updo, go through and mist hair
with working spray.
Take one-inch vertical sections from along the
parietal bone and comb out from the head.
Crimp random sections to add texture along the
hairline and above the rounds of the head. Pull up a
1/4-inch section and crimp from roots to ends.
Using the a ceramic triple barrel waver, wave the
rest of hair from roots to ends.
Pin to the back center of the head.
Continue along the top, waving from the crown to
the fringe.
Place a prepared rat along the top of the head.
Take a selected fall and tease and spray to add
texture. Secure to the crown and tease to add more
texture.
Pin as desired and spray into place. In this case,
the weight is left asymmetrically.
A second piece was added at the last minute,
leaving a ponytail from the nape.
