GOLDWELL COLOR HOW TO: Pretty in PastelMODERN Facebook fan Cheryl Snow, a colorist from Carlton Hair Westminster in Westminster, California, sent us this pastel-infused color she created for her client who she describes as "very editorial."

"She is a tough one I have to admit," Snow says. "She is naturally a level 3 and likes to be almost paper white."

To get her client the editorial feel she desired, Snow lifted her with 20-volume developer and natural heat for about an hour. Next, she used Goldwell's 10v to cancel out as much of the yellow as possible.

"She doesn't like using permanent color because she likes when it eventually fades out, so I just used a semipermanent toner, violet and ash mix with some 10v from Goldwell, and applied it from her midlengths all the way to the ends and left it on for 20 minutes."

"When the color is fresh, it's a little darker pastel, but fades beautifully after one wash. Because of her look and new hair, she has been getting modeling gigs around the nation! She is my favorite hair to do because it's so different and fun!"
