Examine the color against skin tone, at regrowth and against eye shade.

Begin with the cut at the nape. Hold down and cut straight across to desired length.

Blend up over the rounds. Take 1/2-inch vertical sections and pull up slightly. Cut to follow shape.

Comb down and chip into ends at zero projection.

At the fringe, lift up and chip to desired length.

Bring 1/2-inch vertical sections up to this point and cut to guide.

Pull up sections and point cut to soften.

Dry the hair. Then point cut into ends for texture.

Begin color application at regrowth. Using 6BC and 6NA (to make a brown copper) with 20-volume developer, apply in 1/4-inch sections.

Blend through, coloring to line of demarcation. Process for 30 minutes.

Now blend one part 6NA and two parts 6BC with 20 volume and draw through to the ends. Process for an additional 10-15 minutes. Total processing time is 45 minutes.
