Messy Bun How To: Super Easy, Super Secure

At UNITE’s Global Session, Regional Artistic Director Stacey Joyce demonstrated a very neat method for messy, full buns.   The two videos offer two different views of the process.

1. She first secured hair into a high ponytail.

2. Using a hair donut, start at the end of the ponytail and pull hair through the donut hole.

3. Spread the hair around the donut and start rolling, tucking the ends under as she rolls along the ponytail, tucking and rolling all the way to the head.

4. Once rolled all the way to the head, secure with bobby pins.

Super easy, super secure and ultra-elegant.
