Glam Rock/Rockabilly Trend

Glam Rock is inspired by the Pin up/Rockabilly trend from the 1950’s; an iconic time when rock ’n’ roll was born and young people stepped out with a new, bold edge. The hair is curled, rolled, polished and pinned. Below, Surface has put its own twist on classic hair styles reinventing the Pin Up/Rockabilly trend for a modern and fresh Glam Rock style.

GLAM ROCK (Female)
Hair: Jackie Yochim, Surface Hair and Visions Salon & Spa
Make-up: Pamela Warden

How-to: Blow dry hair with mousse and a round brush. Next, create large 2-inch curls and set them away from the face with hairspray. Use Surface Push Powder for backcombing and hold. Roll, polish and pin away the hair from the face with Surface Shift Shine Wax. The look was finished with a light mist of shine spray.

How-to: Starting with dry hair, this look was achieved by working Shift Molding Clay into the hair for texture, firm hold, and matte finish.

Agreed, bad, bad, bad hair... rivaled only by the even worse makeup. Someone take that large brown marker away from Pamela before she gets near anyone else's eyebrows.
