NAIL HOW TO: Galactic Nails

Learn how to create this glittery gold and silver nail by CND.

CND SUPPLIES:

Shellac Base Coat, Shellac Color (Black Pool), CND ProSeries Gel Flat Oval Brush, Shellac Top Coat, CND UV Lamp.

ART SUPPLIES:

Martha Stewart Glitters: Gold, Copper, Silver; 99% Isopropyl Alcohol

TRY IT:

STEP 1: P.R.E.P. the natural nail. (For details see our “CND Shellac” Step-by-Steps.)

STEP 2: Apply a thin layer of Shellac™ Base Coat and cure for 10 seconds in the CND UV Lamp.

STEP 3: Apply two thin layers of Shellac Black Pool. Cure each layer for two minutes.

STEP 4: Dip the tip of the Gel Oval Brush, lightly moistened with IPA, into Gold glitter and brush on 1/3 of the nail, starting from cuticle area. Clean brush thoroughly.

STEP 5: Dip the tip of the brush into the Copper glitter and apply slightly below the first color melding the two colors together. Clean brush thoroughly.

STEP 6: Apply the third color, Silver glitter, melding all the glitter colors together so there is no defined line of single color.

STEP 7: Apply a thin layer of Shellac Top Coat and cure for two minutes.

STEP 8: Wipe with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to remove top film.
