StripLac, the Alessandro International peel off nail polish, was introduced to the United States at the Premiere Show in Orlando, Florida this past weekend. The polish is incredibly popular in Europe, especially in Germany, where is was first launched.
Modern stopped by the Alessandro International press room to find out more. Christina Rivera, Alessandro platform artist, was there to offer demos and manicures. Nail artist Margarida De Oliverioa, who came from A Place For You, Brookfield, Connecticut to learn more about the latest and greatest in nail design at the show, volunteered to be our model and was truly excited about the service.
"StipLac is a peel off, UV Gel polish, that lasts ten days and then is simply peeled off," said Rivera. "It's a quick easy service, and both nail artists and clients love it. We can charge a bit more and see clients more regularly. I love it because it's simple...very ABC."
De Oliverioa was also loving it. When given the opportunity to ask questions, she did: Chipping? ("No."), Any lift? ("Only on a client with an oily nail."), Does it damage the nail? ("No!")
Adds De Oliverioa, "I can't wait to try it on my clients!"
This video offers a complete demo, from beginnning to end, and is chock full of interesting nail education.
