Global Keratin's comprehensive Hair Taming System for all types of hair is an integrated set of individual hair products working synergistically to tame unruly hair while repairing damage and providing long term conditioning and protection. The Hair Taming System Formula starts with a professional salon treatment that penetrates the cuticle of the hair to strengthen and improve texture, condition, and enhance manageability & reduce frizz for up to five months.
Before the service, discuss any prior chemical services performed on the client's hair, health issues and/or allergies. Analyze client’s hair and scalp to ensure they are suitable to receive the Hair Taming System Formula. Determine if other services are required prior to the Hair Taming System Formula (for example: color, relaxer or highlights).
Step 1: Shampoo hair twice with Global Keratin pH+ / Clarifying Shampoo to remove excess styling products and build-up, and to help open the cuticle (towel dry hair to remove excess moisture).
Step 2: Towel dry hair. Detangle with comb or vent brush. Section hair in three parts.
Step 3: Wearing gloves, shake the product well before opening and start by applying 1oz. of Taming Formula with Juvexin in an application bowl, adjusting the amount of product as needed. Start at the nape, creating ¼-inch sections of hair and lightly dab the product ¼-inch away from the scalp, then mid-shaft and finally the ends.
Step 4: Thoroughly massage product into hair with fingertips. Comb through with fine tooth comb for even distribution and to remove excess product. Do not oversaturate the hair with Hair Taming System Formula. If hair becomes too dry, moisten with water using a spray bottle. Avoid contact with scalp, skin, and eyes. NOTE: Make sure the entire hair shaft is completely covered with Taming Formula.
Step 5: Divide hair into sections again and apply product.
Step 6: Start drying hair with vent brush to remove excess moisture.
Step 7: Start drying hair at the nape area, working your way up until all of the hair is 100-percent dry.
Step 8: Remove your gloves and the towel around the client’s neck. For the ironing process you will need a titanium flat iron that reaches 450º F (230º C). Starting at the nape, create ¼-inch sections of hair. Tap the roots and slowly slide the flat iron from the root to the end. For hard to reach areas, use the Global Keratin Mini Flat Iron. Continue this process until all of the hair has been ironed. With repeated iron passes over each section, the client’s hair will be sealed with a silky, shiny and straight look. Use your professional judgment to determine how many passes are needed with the flat iron. You may lower the temperature of the iron to accommodate any sections of the hair that may have been damaged prior to the Hair Taming System Formula.
Advise your client not to shampoo hair for 48 hours or restrain hair tightly with accessories or apparel. After 48 hours use Global Keratin moisturizing or balancing shampoos and conditioners for best results.
