MODERN Instagram follower Steven Hewitt shared this color correction with us and we knew we had to track down his step-by-step process for the dramatic transformation. Here, he shares:

Step 1: Alfaparf Color Remover was used to remove as much color as possible--getting the client to a light copper/pink.

Step 2: Next, he used Alfaparf Supermeches and ammonia-free lightener with 6% on the full head--excluding the new growth--lifting it to a yellow/gold.

Step 3: After rinsing the lightener, a mixture of Alfapark Supermeche and ammonia-free lightener with 6% was again applied all-over--INCLUDING the new growth, this time--and lifted to a golden base level 8/9.

Step 4: Alfaparf Cauterisation Serum was left in the hair as a treatment, to restrengthen the hair and even out the porosity, and then rinsed after putting under heat and being allowed to dry in. Next, a toner of Alfaparf Evolution 9 and 8.21 with a 1-inch ribbon of 410 (graphite) with 3% was applied and processed until most of the warmth was removed.

Step 5: Hair was rinsed, another treatment added followed by a full head of slices using Alfaparf Supermeche+ Ammonia-free lightener with 3% until a pale blonde was achieved. Then foils were rinsed, hair was dried, a lisse Keratin treatment was put on the hair for 20 minutes to restrengthen, rinsed again and styled.
