Cheryl Roberts (@theblondebrunetteaz), owner of The Blonde Brunette, Scottsdale, Arizona, says this color correction took 5 hours. "My client wanted an icy, cool, grayish blonde," says Roberts. "She had a very brassy band and 4 inches of natural level 1 hair." For this beautiful correction Roberts shares that the best color correction is the result of patience and caution.

Here she shares the HOW TO:

Step 1: Begin on the band at the mid shaft. Apply L'Oreal Platinium plus 30 volume (with Olaplex).

Step 2: Once the band starts to blend in with the ends, go through again and move the lightener up two inches more to lighten the regrowth. ("To create the need for a bleach retouch without creating another band.") Rinse and treat with Olaplex.

Step 3: Mix up fresh batch from step 1. Bleach retouch and feather through any pieces that need a little more lift.

Step 4: Lift to level 10. Rinse and then apply Olaplex.

Step 5: Rinse and power dry. Apply L'Oreal Dia Richesse in 9.11 with 9 volume to the roots and shade down in different areas to create dimension. Process for 20 minutes. Rinse.

Step 6: Glaze from roots to mids with Redken Shades EQ 9b with a drop of 9t. Process for 20 minutes.  At the very end lightly glaze the ends for an additional 5 minutes.
