As we were scrolling through our Instagram feed, this post by Jennifer Malone (@jmalonehair) made us stop in our tracks.

Using Keune color, Redken toner and Brazilian Bond Builder to preserve the integrity of the hair during the lightening process, along with Unite styling products, Malone create this brunette look for summer, that could just as well work for the seasons ahead.

FORMULAS:
Formula A (midlengths): Keune Magic Blonde Bleach + 20-volume developer + b3 Brazilian Bond Builder
Formula B (ends): Keune Magic Blonde Bleach +10-volume developer + b3 Brazilian Bond Builder
Formula C (toner): Redken Shades EQ 9P + processing solution

APPLICATION:
STEP 1: Starting at the nape, balayage up through the occipital bone, using Formula A on the midlengths and Formula B on the ends. Use foils instead of plastic wrap while painting to create heat in order to break through client's previous color.

Balayage the crown and layers around the face, and paint baby lights to brighten the hairline. After, paint single strands that were left outside the foils with Formula A. Let process 45 minutes at room temperature.
STEP 3:
Shampoo with Unite 7SECONDS Shampoo, and towel-dry.
STEP 4:
Saturate the entire head with Formula C. Process for 15 minutes.
STEP 5:
Condition with Unite 7SECONDS Conditioner
STEP 6:
Style using Unite 7SECONDS Leave In Detangler and Unite U Argan Oil before blowdrying. Use a 1 ¼-inch iron to create beachy waves. Finish with Unite TEXTURIZA Spray.
