Ali Boone (@smokedlacehair) of Hair Klaudt, Charlotte, North Carolina, sent us this PRETTY PRETTY transformation and we asked for more! Here she shares the how to for her client that said Boone could do whatever she wanted, as long as she kept some purple in her creation:
"So I custom mixed a few colors with Pravana Vivids and Joico Intensities. I am making floral crowns for all my clients that book in March, so I am styling my fairies so the crown and their color is accented."
Formulas:
Base color- 30g 5G / 10g 5GA / 5g 5N / 10vol
Formula 1- 50g Redken Flashlift / 75g 30vol / Olaplex
Formula 2- Silver/Violet (Pravana Vivids)
Formula 3- 1 part Violet (Pravana) 1part Amethyst purple (Joico)
Formula 4- 1part Magenta (Joico) 1part Indigo (Joico)
Step 1: Apply the base color first. Then go back in and balayage with formula 1 to lighten the pink out and lift the ends a bit more.
Step 2: Process for 30 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex no. 2. Process for 10 minutes then rinse, shampoo and condition. Dry completely.
Step 3: In the back two quadrants alternate formulas 3 and 4.
Step 4: Alternate formulas 2 and 3 in the two front sections, moving up the head from the ear to her middle part.
Step 5: Process for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and condition (no shampoo).
