Geysha Tomassone (@geyshaloveshair) of Mora Salon, Cherry Hill, NJ, says "My client wanted a change and opted for a gray/slate color! Of course, in her case, I had explained to her that it may take up to 3 visits to achieve this color. She started as a level 4 roots to level 6/7 gold/copper ends. We started to prelighten her ends each visit. When she came for her third visit, she was a level 8 on her ends and we were able to go for the gray/slate color."

Here Tomassone shares the HOW TO:

Formula A:
Wella Color Touch 1oz 4/0 + 5 grams of /88 + 2oz 1.9% 6 volume

Formula B:
1.5 oz HIGH developer  + 1 scoop of Pravana Guy Tang bayalage lightener + 1/8 Olaplex

Formula C:
Wella color touch 2 oz 1.9% 6 volume + 1 oz Clear + 6 cm ( 2 inches) 2/0

STEP 1: Apply Formula A to the roots and feather down to the mids. Process for 25 minutes then shampoo, condition and dry.

STEP 2: Bayalage using Formula B. Process for 30 minutes under heat lamps.

STEP 3: Shampoo and apply Formula C on towel dry hair for about 15-20 minutes.
