Kimemily Pham (@excellenthairsalon), owner of Excellent Hair Salon & Spa Inc, Fremont, CA. met with client Alexa "whom I have not seen for over a year. She came in wanting just to get a haircut. Her hair was down to her waist with fried ends due to over used of flat ironing." Pham got busy. "She had about 8 inches of new growth. The midshaft and ends were blorange. Instead of just a haircut, I suggested she needed to tone down the brassiness in her hair and do something fun since she is young and will be celebrating her 21st birthday in a few days." After removing 6 inches and adding layers, Pham began to color the level 2, natural black hair. "We agreed to go medium ash brown with  a peek of blue, teal tone." Pham decided to let the previous balayage work for her. "The teal was from the lighter hair strands from the previous color. They got picked up by the Soboost blue and the 8P. I knew that they would be teal because those strands were really blonde."

Step 1: Blend Matrix ColorSync 8p, 6oz + Matrix Soboost blue 1oz + 7oz of 10 volume creme developer. Apply from roots to ends in 1/2 inch sections.

Step 2: Process at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse well, shampoo with Biolage Cleansing Conditioner.
