Tips to recreate from: Jenny Balding, Cutler/Redken stylist

The Look: Effortless, polished waves

Products used: Redken Fashion Work 12 Versatile Hairspray, Redken Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist

How-To:

STEP 1: Start by blow drying hair smooth to remove any frizz and promote shine.

STEP 2: Create a clean middle part

STEP 3: Use a light weight hairspray, such as Redken Fashion Work 12 Versatile Hairspray, to mist each section before using the curling iron.  This will give the right amount of hold and flexibility you need.

STEP 4: Use a 1-1/2-inch curling iron and straighten hair vertically starting from the mid-length to the ends, throughout the whole head.

STEP 5: Using a Mason Pearson-type brush, brush through the waves to create a polished finish.

STEP 6: Complete the look by misting Redken Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist to create exceptional shine.

Natalie Dormer

Styled by: Giannandrea, celebrity hairstylist, international creative director for Macadamia Professional

The Look: Soft, bohemian waves

Products used: Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment, Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer, Macadamia Control Working Spray, Macadamia Professional Whipped Detailing Cream

How-To:
STEP 1: Start with towel-dried hair and apply Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment to the whole length of the hair to create a soft and supple base. Next, apply a generous amount of Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer to the whole head, roots and length to create hold for the next steps.

STEP 2:  Rough blow-dry the whole head upside down until hair is about 85 percent dry. To create large overall volume, smooth out only the top with a large round brush and then brush the rest with a paddle brush.

STEP 3: Section off a small side part and divide the rest of the hair in four parts. Brush each section gently with a wide-tooth comb and spray with Macadamia Control Working Spray. Twist each section all the way to the ends and onto itself creating small twisted buns. Pin in place, leaving 2 inches of the ends out. Use a diffuser to dry the twists for about 15 minutes. Let the hair cool for 10 minutes.

STEP 4: Take the twists out using only your hands to stretch each down and relax them. Smooth out any kinks with a small flat iron gently so as not to loosen the waves.

STEP 5: Apply Macadamia Professional Whipped Detailing Cream through the whole length to separate the hair and give it the right amount of texture.

STEP 6: Using your hands, take Macadamia Professional Whipped Detailing Cream and push the top part backwards and slightly off to the side, twisting the hair gently to create top volume and pin in place.

STEP 7: Move one inch back from the side and hide a soft small braid behind the ear. Let the hair flow down on the pinned side and push the other side behind the shoulder. Spray the top hair in place with Macadamia Control Working Spray and let the rest flow.

STEP 5: Finish by pushing hair to the side behind the ears and spray all over with Keratherapy Perfect Hold Hairspray to set and add a layer of protection from humidity.
