MODERN loved Jennifer Aniston's fresh chignon, created by celebrity stylist Chris McMillan for Living Proof, that she wore last night for the 2015 Golden Globes. When we posted her image on Instagram, many salon pros were excited to see her have an updo. Said one: "It's so exciting to see her without her signature 'Rachel.'"

INSPIRATION: “The look we decided on for the Golden Globes was overall clean, simple and elegant," McMillan says. "Jen was deciding between two dresses--if she wore one dress, her hair would have been down, but she ended up choosing the dress that would look best with her hair up [dress was by Yves Saint Laurent]. Originally, we were going to do a ponytail, but during makeup, we put her hair in a bun, and we both decided it looked great!”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “Jen had two-day-old hair, which works perfectly for buns!," McMillan says. "I used Living Proof Instant Texture Mist before, during and after to pull her hair back in a deep side-part. I used a bungee cord ponytail holder and a long Goody bobby pin to hold the bun in place. I also used Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray to finish the look."
