“Heart-shaped faces tend to need a bolder, stronger brow to balance out the jawline,” says Boom Boom, owner of Boom Boom Brow Bar.

"On a heart-shaped face, the chin tends to be narrower than the cheekbones and forehead (which are usually a similar width) - thicker bolder brows can minimize that strong jawline, thin brows just don’t have enough oomph.  Reece Witherspoon’s strong brows do a great job of balancing her heart-shaped face. Notice how thick they are before the arch starts to dip down.  Her brows are also nice and long, which draw the eye out more. If brows fall short, just extend them a tad with a brow powder [Boom Boom uses Boom Boom Boostiers brow powder]."

Scar Jo’s arches and brows are less bold, but still compliment her heart-shaped face because her gentle arch softens the point of her chin. A professional can help soften the shape of the arch. "Most people who try to do it on their own take too much hair away," says Boom Boom.  "After the arch is set, brush a gel over the brow to keep in place [Boom Boom uses Boom Boom Brow-ssiere brow gel]."

Malynda Vigliotti (aka Boom Boom) is obsessed with brows – 100,000+ served at Boom Boom Brow Bar in NYC - and sees no reason why everyone shouldn’t have thick, gorgeous eyebrows, especially with the talent and efforts of a professional.
