Essie manicurist and "color lover" Michelle Saunders, based in LA, is best known for her celebrity following, editorial work and creating fresh looks at New York Fashion Week. She created this Winter's Edge manicure using 4 Essie shades--and when we saw the finished look we knew we had to track down the steps to recreate it!

SHADES: Lilacism, Mint Candy Apple, Bobbing For Baubles, Blanc

STEP 1: Apply a thin layer of first base base coat. Follow with two coats of lilacism on the left half of each nail.

STEP 2: Polish the right hald of each nail with two coats of mint candy apple.

STEP 3: Paint a square with bobbing for baubles over lilacism.

STEP 4: Using a striping brush dipped in blanc, draw the borders between each color.

Michelle Saunders' tips:

** Complete the look with a shiny coat of good to go top coat. Using blanc as a border will tie in the colors.
