Tai Kieu (@taitkieuapril05) co-owner and stylist at Huynhchi's Hair Studio, Costa Mesa, California, shares the details for this breathtaking transformation:

CLIENT HAIR HISTORY:

This client been getting ombre for the last one and a half years on her natural Asian level 2 hair. When she first came to Kieu,  her hair was ombre with a base lifted to level 5 warm brown down to level 7 orange mid shaft with random pieces of level over process level 10 at the bottom. Her natural level 2 roots been growing out for about 2 to 3 months.

PROCESS:

Step 1: Using your favorite lightener, alternate a tease balayage ombre touch up with babylights, starting at the nape going up with 40 volume at new growth and brown part at top, and 40 volume with 1/4 Olaplex at orange part and 10 volume no ammonia lightener with 1/4 Olaplex at the ends.

Step 2: Process until pale yellow checking hair every 5 to 10 minutes. Wash and towel dry.

Sep 3: Tone using all Fanola color:

Roots: 6.1 and 6.0 (ratio 2-1) comb down 2 inches

Mid shaft and ends: 10.1 and Neutral intensify (5 inches squeeze out of color tube)

Step 4: Process for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Step 5: Olaplex #2 for 10 minutes and then shampoo, condition and style.
