Renee Spinale (@sucks4youuuu), based in the Boston, Massachusettes area, knew she "wanted to be a hairdresser since I was 5 years old, after chopping off the hair on my Barbie." Lately she has been having fun learning more about fantasy colors and extensions. When we saw this transformation on her Instagram page we knew she was putting her education to work. Here she shares the HOW TO for her client who arrived with extensions she ordered online. Spinale colored the extensions to work with her new color:
Step 1: To the root area apply Goldwell 4N + 5RR equal parts with ten volume.
Step 2: To the mid shaft and ends of the real hair, apply Goldwell 7RR + 6VV with ten volume.
Step 3: While colors to the real hair are processing (25 minutes), color the extensions on a tray covered with a trash bag. For the root, apply the formula used in step 2.
Step 4: To the ends of the extensions apply Matrix So Red "R" with 30 volume. Process the extensions for a total of 45 minutes.
Step 5: Glaze both the hair and extensions with Pravana red, to create an even and blended red tone. Process for 15 minutes.
Step 6: Blow dry the real hair and extensions separately. Clip in the extensions and then curl together in 1 1/4 inch sections with a 1 1/4 Babybliss curling iron. Apply Moroccanoil and rake through to break up the curl.
