Spring 2016

This spring, we’re making plans. Our plans start with America’s Beauty Show this weekend—the huge show in Chicago is a great stepping stone for your future success with classes, presentations and tons of opportunities to connect with fellow stylists. And make sure you get your tickets for the BCL Experience at Soldier Field while you’re there; the runway presentation features NextGen up-and-coming artists teaming up with brand mentors.

Next to check off your list is what you’re doing with your life post-grad. That’s what this issue’s feature is all about—business, life and post-grad preparedness. Just thinking ahead sets you in the right direction, and you’ll be glad for it later.

We’re also helping you look forward in other sections; consider men’s business in the long-term, don’t disregard curly clients, and make sure you’re asking the right consultation questions before a client steps foot in your salon or studio. Every detail might not go exactly as you plan, but having a map should keep you on the road.
