Clark Russell Salon Team Wins Battle of StrandsClark Russell Salon of Lafayette, California won the Battle of the Strands hair, make-up and fashion competition held October 14 in Las Vegas. The team, representing the United States, was selected as a finalist. The theme of the competition was “Legends of Las Vegas” and lead stylist Clark Russell, along with stylist Jeffrey Lotspeich and make-up artist Jeremiah Broom, re-created the unforgettable look that Cher, the ultimate Vegas star, wore to the 1986 Oscar presentation.

 

 

 

 

Clark Russell Salon Team Wins Battle of StrandsThe team designed an over-the-top headpiece, a skirt with $20 worth of fabric and black body paint and glitter to recreate the Bob Mackie gown Cher won for the Oscars. The reality TV cameras were rolling at the event and the Battle of the Strands could become a reality series.
