Cosmetologists Chicago Names Board of Directors

On October 22, 2012, Cosmetologists Chicago held its annual business meeting at which it installed its new board of directors and officers. The board is comprised of salon professionals who volunteer their time to develop and direct the services that the association provides to its more than 7,000 members, including education, legislative representation, technology, networking, and scholarships.

The board’s most important responsibility is the oversight and leadership of all facets of America’s Beauty Show, which is held in Chicago and attracts more than 60,000 salon professionals, manufacturers, students, distributors and educators.

Joseph Cartegena of Genacelli in Chicago was named president of the board of directors for the 2012-2014 term.  Newly installed board members include:

1^st Vice President: Denise Provenzano,  Zano Salons & Spa, Naperville, Illinois.

2^nd Vice President: Larry Silvestri, Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spa, Chicago.

Secretary: Robert Passage, Pivot Point International, Evanston, Illinois.

Treasurer: Karen Gordon, J. Gordon Designs, Chicago.

Immediate Past President: Frank Gironda, Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spa, Wheaton, Illinois.

Bonnie Canavino:  Red Cherry Group, Downers Grove, Illinois.

Paul Chambers: Kuttin Ege’ Salon, Chicago.

Lorrene Conino:  Salon Lorrene, Palatine, Illinois.

Kathy Jager:  Pro’s Salon, Oak Forest, Illinois.

Debra Jargstorf:  Empire Education Group, Prospect Heights, Illinois.

Rosa Palmeri: Trio Evanston, Evanston, Illinois.

Lisa Ryan: Love My Results Beauty, Crystal Lake, Illinois.

The 2013 America’s Beauty Show, owned and produced by CC, will be held March 9-11 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
